I hear many people saying “buy the dip” this does not mean just buy anything because we are in a dip and it must be on sale, many stocks are not on sale and they may never recover or reach the prices previously seen, I agree with the concept of buy the dip, but you must only buy the best companies while on sale, the rules and triggers you use to buy and sell don’t change because we enter a correction, bull or bear market, the investing rules don’t need to adapt to the situation, your investing system will automatically find the stocks on sale, they will meet your rules and just happen to be on sale too, don’t go looking for cheap stocks, stick to your rules and they will come to you.
